Mr. Sanger is a Founder and Managing Partner of Siltstone Capital. Prior to founding Siltstone, Mr. Sanger worked for nine years at Riverstone Holdings (“Riverstone”), a premier energy and power-focused private equity firm. At Riverstone, Mr. Sanger served on the Boards of Directors of seven energy companies spanning the sub-sectors of Exploration & Production (“E&P”), Energy Services, Midstream, Power, and Renewables.
Prior to joining Riverstone, Mr. Sanger worked in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley in the Global Energy Group. Mr. Sanger performed fundamental analysis on energy companies, with a focus on E&P – evaluating and executing public and private M&A, equity market and debt market transactions. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Sanger was a Senior Consultant at Acorn Systems, a cost management consulting firm. While at Acorn Systems, Mr. Sanger managed the details of client engagement projects and built client-specific profitability models, identifying areas of possible restructurings and turnarounds.
Mr. Sanger graduated cum laude and received his B.S. in economics with concentrations in both finance and legal studies from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Sanger also participated for four years on the Division I basketball team.
