Mr. Walia is a Manager Partner and General Counsel of Siltstone Capital. Mr. Walia represents the firm, its funds, and its fund investments in all legal matters, and he co-leads Siltstone’s investments in the legal sector. Prior to joining Siltstone, Mr. Walia practiced law at Susman Godfrey, LLP, the nation’s premier litigation boutique firm. At Susman Godfrey, Mr. Walia represented plaintiffs and defendants in some of the country’s highest-stakes commercial litigation, including patent and energy matters.
Before joining Susman Godfrey, Mr. Walia practiced law at Baker Botts, LLP in their litigation department and previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Jane R. Roth of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Honorable Chief Judge Hayden W. Head of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Mr. Walia also taught law at Widener School of Law. Mr. Walia graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was an editor of three law journals, including the Texas Law Review. In addition, Mr. Walia graduated with honors from the University of Texas and received his B.B.A. in Business Honors and Finance.
